It's the official Police Auction website. Obviously 99.9% of the kit on there has, at one point, probably been stolen and recovered so bear that in mind.
However, they don't auction anything off until it's gone beyond it's claim period so you don't need to worry about buying anything dodgy
. I actually posted on another forum about it as well, and you wouldn't believe the grief I got from some people! Basically, the auction is the last resort for the Police. If they don't sell the stuff at auction, they destroy it. And there's no way that I was going to let all this stuff get destroyed! Some of the members on the other forum couldn't get their head around this last bit, and still thought that I was in the wrong... .:roll:
