Help with vintage MTB pedals needed

PeteJonz

Retro Newbie
Would someone be able to identify the brand of the red caged pedals with what looks like a Z in the endcap moulding. The cage has the word Classic just about visible on it.

Also what is the correct description of the cropped cage pedals and any ideas which bikes they'd be off, or are they aftermarket. I can find some similar looking Suntour pedals, but that's about it.

I bought these in a job lot, and whilst I can ID most of the contents, I'm struggling with these two. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA, Peter

wellgo make similar looking pedals to the red ones
perhaps yours are suntour or sakae
i ve got some similar but more modern with spd on one side

Classic were like a 'Tranz X' kind of brand... Did bars, bar ends, brakes etc all in anodised colours.

VP is another manufacturer of pedals that probably made for others.
