First time Roadie.....1986 Peugeot PH501

Next upgrade on the cards, to match the 105 aero levers, is the 105 calipers to match.

A bit of trawling eBay and a wanted ad on RB threw up a few examples and I eventually went for a set which had ended without bids on eBay. Originally a poor advert but I took a punt....



Overall they're in reasonable condition - paint and logos good just the chrome hardware a little tarnished with surface rust. The paint needed a little bit of clean up to remove some overspray too.

Cleaned up nicely.....



Original Weinmann 500 calipers.....



New Shimano 105 BR-1055 front caliper in place.....

I use to have a 21" one of these from 86-87 and got rid of it due to being a pain in the rear with that free wheel locking ring only to realise 12 months on that the only issue with the bike was the inexperienced and impatient owner so hopefully you'll have this little french gem up en running soon as they do ride really nice and the colour looks amazing when well polished ..
