Fillet brazed frame of mystery

s&g/araya used the seat stay inserts but theyre either tig or lugged, not brazed. looks lurvely though. possible custom build...........from the 80s the number of frame builders was quite large nationally and internationally. what do the really early salsas look like compared?

The seat stays look identical to some Rocky Mountains, specifically the 1988 Avalanche, there is one in the 1997 Readers Bikes forum right now. Could be one of theirs?

Thanks for the replies guys.
It shares details with quite a few different mid/late 80's frames, but none are exactly the same.
I need to get it back out of the garage to look for a number on the bb shell, as someone on here gave me another lead on it.

They're the TOYO built frames, it was their method of working at the time.
