Carbon 456

A little snug...

Was cleaning beneath my inner tube chainstay protector so thought I'd take a quick pic of the clearance with 36t middle and 44t outer

I'm sure mine isn't that tight. Are you using the right spacers?

(I should add that mine might be that tight, but I can't be bothered to go into the dark, cold garage to check and that I've been drinking Hoegaarden for three hours now and can't really picture the bike, let alone the clearance between the rings and stays.)

Did a slightly longer ride yesterday 31 miles.. Half on road half off.

Weather was the best we've had this year... Shorts, t-shirt, gillet and glasses required a la...

Most of the ride looked like this

And inevitably some parts still pretty wet (well I was riding along side the of the Somerset levels). Followed a river for most of the off road section which was nice and peaceful, only saw the occasional dog walker.

Only spoiled by a puncture just over the half way mark.

More plastic fantastic updates.

Was having a bit of a 'mare with the front mech/shifter.

Purchased a new high clamp xt front mech and xt m770 shifters.

Shifting is so much nicer than with the old shifters IMHO who'd of thought it would change so much in 14/15 years lol.

Friend at work brought some luggage scales in so we could see what my bike weighs and the results are in...

28lb 7oz which I thought was pretty respectable. As I loose more weight I will probably look at reducing the bikes weight slightly (most of the excess weight is in the coil forks and the heavy duty mavic 721s).

Completed a charity ride last weekend. 53.2 miles average speed 14.17.

Quite a sensible weight for a 150mm travel fork!
