Cantilever brake levers and cable discs ???? Sorted thanks

Will brake levers designed for canti brakes work with cable disc brakes or do I need a different cable pull as in v brakes. Thanks for any info

Canti brake levers work with v-brakes. I've not had anything to do with cable discs
Would have thought using canti / v-brake inner cables would work

I don't know either just what I assumed, I have a BB5 road that I want to set up with a cantilever lever just haven't got round to doing it yet.

cable discs for MTB (like the avid BB7) are designed for V brake lever cable pull
cable discs for road (like the avid BB5) are designed for standard road bike lever cable pull, which is the same as MTB canti lever pull

most cable disc brakes will be "MTB" so need V brake levers.

TRP makes 2 versions of their 2 piston Mechanical brakes. The Spyke (all black) is for MTB levers, the Spyre (polished stirrup) is for road bikes. Metallic pads are available for these. They use Avid BB7 adapters.
