Re: Golite4 1993 Boulder Bicycles Defiant

Here is a bike I wanted to bring back to her homeland. Received as a frame/fork/stem. Built up with mainly XC Pro drivetrain but a few special touches here and there. Black Onza Cantis like the ones originally designed by Boulder Bicycles. Syncros titanium seatpost. Small neon accents to reflect the period.

Noka78's 1989 Kästle Tour Randonnée

Last year i searched for a touring frame for offroad traveling. I found a neon one for 26" wheels from the austrian company Kästle. In 1988/89 they had a cooperation with Cinelli - they made the design with Columbus Cromor tubes. The geometry is unique for these times in Europe - a long head tube, sloping top tube, u-brake mounts on the rear stay and a lot of mounts (also hidden) for the racks. A great matching found was the rare classic lightweight racks from Specialized. For the cockpit a drop bar - whatelse - so i decided to build up an agile, sturdy and flashy Randonneur with a classic MTB-background.
