Bikes and Stuff That I'm Not Buying This Week

Insult heaped upon injury: he went to pick up the Bertrand. The seller is a former coworker of mine, guy I've known for nearly twenty years, owns and operates my favorite Thai restaurant. I've biked to the pickup location many times IMG_20230422_085306.jpg

Oh goodness I've just ridden it. Columbus is magnificent. Compared it to my similar era Hardrock for reference. My bike has no chain, seat, post, front brake, or cables. The Bertrand is lighter. It wants to fly off everything. Delightful. And convincing him of the internal gear switch will be far easier than expected, he admitted that he has an 11 speed Alfine in reserve

Further information: they only made approximately 10 of these and then the company had a bitter split, and the seller's brother in law, who built the bikes, took every one. Bertrand has been called, they were excited to see pictures, very interested in buying it back. Nobody on the Canadian mountain bike pages have seen anything like it
