92 Muirwoods Bottom Bracket Length

Hi all

Sorry to be asking dumb questions, but have magically mislaid my tape measure

Does anyone know what axle length the 92 marin muirwood is and what size the bb shell is.

Any help would be much appreciated

68mm shell i should think.....axle length depends on what crank you have on it.

I should think somewhere between 107 and 113....depending on desired chain line and clearance for rings etc.

Best to measure the one you have if it all lines up well.

Invest in a cheap pair of verniers.....

You will need them.....and far better than a tape measure. Cheap manual good...cheap digital bad!

Or push the boat out and get 12" instead of 6"....then you can measure hubs with ease too.

It's not a bad idea, just me trying to be a cheap skate, but I agree I defentialy need some

You'll probably be fine with just a ruler for this purpose. The bottom bracket shell is very probably 68mm (if not, it will be 73mm) as mentioned above, but you can easily measure it to confirm. Again, you can measure the spindle length of the current bottom bracket, but I've used 110.5mm with an LX M563 chain set and it was fine.

Verniers definitely worth getting at some point though.
