Anyone got any experience of this sort of conversion? I’ve just picked up what I think might be an ideal candidate..

Plenty of clearance with these 700c’s I’ve got - only hurdle will be brake posts but there are adapters for that.. anything else to consider?
Cheers. 👍

I put 700c with fairly chunky 35mm tyres on an Orange Gringo - fairly twirls along.
Obviously you have to sort out some brakes :)

You might be able to get away with something like this, you'd then not have to worry too much about brakes.

Or you could use the rear bridge for the stays and the hole in the fork for callipers. Unless you really want v/canti/whatever the hell else brake.

better with discs and the biggest irony is that modern 26 inch tires tend to have a rotational circumference similar to a 700c wheel & road tire <goes to lie down after such big words>
