1999 cannondale Martyn Ashton signature full restoration.

I have a big decision to make with the final spec of this build.

Both brake sets are NOS.

Originally I wanted to run hs33’s, but now I’m not sure.

I have been searching for these hs33’s for nearly 2 years.

Ah sorry misunderstood the post. I would’ve thought HS33’s would be more period correct? Wherent the HS22 a much earlier brake with the big 4 finger levers?

Wow it’s been nearly a full year without an up-date.

I’m still patiently working on this. Not a lot has changed in the last year.

Last week I changed some bits and added a few bits.

Changed the 100mm kore elite stem for a NOS 80mm kore elite stem.

X-lite red stem spacer added.

Changed the x-lite sear post for another version with the Union Jack sticker.

Changed the club roost dude saddle for a NOS version with yellow trim.

Added the NOS magura rear brake with horse shoe booster along with grip and shifter.

Club roost triple traps.

Re anodised red dcd.

NOS x-lite red crank bolts.

Not the greatest pictures, but I’ll get some better ones soon.

I’m pretty sure this build is pretty much finished, I just need to put it all back together and sort the gears out. I definitely need to reduce the length of the rear magura hose, but I’m itching to get this on wheels for the first time since I bought it.

Hopefully an update will come soon.

What a build great work! And a very long project.

I too was at bike live 99 I was 15 and big into trials because of the Martin/Martyns and tricks and stunts.

One of my trials riding friends got one of these frames bitd and ran a hope rear disc conversion on it!
