1996(ish) Marin Stinson - Adventure Rig

Awww, thanks for your kind words, team!

It has been a very satisfying project, and the knowledge that this is being used and enjoyed (when it could have easily ended up in the scrap or rotting at the back of someone's garage) just adds to the experience.

Wee update on this one:

I'm relocating back to Australia so the Stinson has been re-homed. I wanted to keep the drop bar arrangement to replicate 'the formula' on a new bike so I revised the cockpit set up for a more 'universal appeal'. The bike has a heap of adventure left in it and the new owner intends to use if for a similar purpose as myself so I think that's a win!

It's a bit of a shame I didn't get to experience the set up for a longer ride as I love using these bars on projects and I quite liked the way it handled.

Bars: On One OG v2
Shifter: Shimano Altus 9 speed
Levers: Shimano M600
Grips: ODI Longneck

I also addressed the broken bolt in the seat stay by drilling it out and retapping the threads in the event a rear rack is to be fitted in the future.

PS - for future readers, any questions about the build, please don't hesitate to ask or PM!

Thanks for reading! :)
