1991 Brodie Climbmax

Re:

You could also do the powder coat route for about $150ish at Quys. Makes it pretty again, but not so pricy you can't enjoy it on the trail.

Side note: Roy, the owner of the romax came and picked it up :( No serial number info unless I see it on the trail (and no romax for me).

Must have been one of the last ones with the 1" head tube John. My old Sovereign was built December 1990 and was one of the first to have 1 1/8" head tube.
Looking forward to seeing your progress :)

Yeah thats going to be the hold up right now. I have a bunch of forks on hand, a P2, tange struts and a beat up set of mag21's ALL 1 1/8!! unless I get a rebuild kit for the M2's...at least the winter is coming so i've got some time to source a good match and get it finished..

looks like a good rider to me. i'd save my money and wouldn't paint.
but i hear ya on the black though. paint it red and white.

Just re-read your Brodie...DONE thread Roy..red and white..HMMM..and throw in a maple leaf fade ala rocky mountain..got the wheels turning now

Re:

so been thinking about just stripping the frame and (thanks to Roy for ideas, I stole your pic) going for this paint with a solid red P2 up front...

Re:

I don't think I've ever seen a Brodie in the flesh... but always think they're very elegant and sound like top quality frames. Do love the Gatorblade.
Nice paint on that one:
multicolour (check)
bit of splatter (check)
harlequin content (check)
fades (uh-oh... a missed opportunity on the top and downtubes) ;)
