1991 Alpinestars Alpine-Xross LX

Not quite a mountain bike, or a road bike, so I guess this best belongs in the mtb section. I picked this up today fairly local as I do like the 91 Alpinestars. I already have a 91 Almega DX and a 91 Cro-mega DX so thought this was a nice addition to that particular little collection. So far i've not really had chance to do much but I have relived it of the kick stand and mudguards etc. It looks like with a good clean and polish it should come up really nice. The only part I've spotted so far that's not original are the tyres so I will source some 700x38 tan walls so it's closer to original spec. I will update with some more pictures once it's all cleaned up but this is how it looks currently. I noticed in the brochure it has silver cranks but these are the same model in black. I guess it was just a spec change somewhere in the production run.

Nice. I have an old Miyata hybrid/29'er of about that vintage that I built up with drop bars. Don't know if you'll be able to fit much more than 38's on there, but 42's may be squeezed in. I'm running 38mm gravel kings on mine.
