1990 Bontrager Race Lite Built

We just finished my 90 Race Lite. Painted, new decals, xtr group, Spinergy rear wheel, Mavic front wheel, Specialized RockCombo stem, Bontrager handlebar, and a few yellow items to dressed up.

Added a Bontrager TI handlebar this afternoon. I am done for now.

Very nice, not sure about the rear spinergy wheel thoug. There is a readers MTB's section if you ask a mod they might move it for you.

I am not sure I have a correct seatpost - 26.6mm one. What is the correct size? 26.8mm? Please let me know.

Hi I bought a race lite in 95 and a race in 96 I still have the catalogue. This is the spec of the frames.

I purchased Ti Lite recently and it is under restoration. Hope to complete it by the end of the year.

Hi yes thats it you can use 25mm or 25.4mm but use a long quality shim like Use. The top ot the seat tube is a weak point on these thin tube steel frames.
So an accurate fit is vital. I run Use suspension posts with shims. To take the sting out of the bumps. Because I'm old

The race lite has the original clamp crown rigid forks. Hens teeth
