And thought of this bike. Some kool stops in there and they would be great.

Thanks! I Must admit though, I'm toying with the idea of doing something to improve the brakes, surfice it to say they are bad. I mean, awful - I think the combination of fast rolling pasella tyres and typicaly undulating Sheffield terrain make for very clenchy stopping - but I'm loathed to ditch the dia-compe side pulls as it's originality that I now think I want to keep.

Might see if I can get some softer pads, it might help. I guess the pads on there are original and probably hardened after 35 years - might try something along those lines first!
