So I found this Claud on the bay and had to have it, despite the horrible colour
It has matching numbers and is dated 5612 making this potentially one of the last "genuine" clauds ever made.
As such I want to get it back where it belongs, on the road. The paint as you can see was really terrible in brown/gold.
Lots of pitting and rust on the rear triangle and a hideous semi-repair on the rear brake bridge where a caliper has been
over tightened at some point in the distant past.
I have identified the frame as most likely a "Buccaneer" model from the 1956 catalog which was the entry level model.
This fact combined with the condition and my lack of funds lead me down the route of seeing what I can do using limited resources.
