Light 'em up!!!

Been giving some thought on how to mount one of these standard torches to my handlebars and my first idea to try is as follows...
Going to source a small length of plastic cable conduit, with a slightly smaller id than the od of the torch shaft, and then cut a thin slot along its length. This should then grip the shaft (ohh, err  ) of the torch. Will also need to add some thin rubber to the inside of the conduit to give sufficient grip, and to allow the csk bolts I'm going to use to mount this to pull up under flush.
Then going to drill a couple of 4.5mm holes through the counduit and then spot these holes through onto my existing light holder . Will then drill, tap and M4 hellicoil the existing holder to hold the conduit.
All works a treat in my mind but will update on real-life progress

Hey guys!

I can recommend these for commuting, there ok up to about 15 miles and hour (did a little bit of off road with them tonight which was fun!). They are limited but good value:

Another top tip are these things:

Found a near identical set in my local wilkinsons for 3.99 - they strap round your helmet vents a treat and really add to your visibility - cant be too noticable to cars now its getting darker!

In fairness to the front one it does light the way a bit when you turn your head outside of your front lights main path which is pretty good considering how small they are.
Oh, and its also good when you look down at your bars as you can see your bike computer too!

if you want super bright light on the cheap go for one or two of these for DealExtreme. i picked up one, with a 2-pack battery and charger (sold separately). with it on high, it rivals light thrown from a car headlight.
