^That Cannondale looks like an absolute weapon
took some bits and as ended up with 2 x 17.5" Marin frames, made pine mountain one slick tyred and closer ratios with 13-23 on rear and 24-36-46 on front with XT 732 rear mech and DX 650 front mech, and City jet tyres that were on the other bike when bought,
also had some spare things that thought I needed and then sat in shed so decided a singe speed was a good idea (used to ride a fixed at college in mid 80's before became "trendy"), but used the spare wheels from SWMBO's 2003 Trek which I picked up cheap to avoid continually changing tyres - not retro spoke pattern I know... :roll: but still work in progress hence "sloppy" chain

Weather seems good this week..so i dont need mudguards..so will use the "Rasta Hot" and the "Teesdale Hot" this week for work..try and give the roadie boys a run for their money..please note the word "try"

The Scott on its 1.95" City Jets. Pretty pleased with how it handled the 40-mile trip today. It also reminded me why all my bikes are on these tyres nowadays.
And just to kill the rumours, having slicks doesn't mean you can't go off-road. It just means you have less grip and therefore need to be a better rider.
In fact I'm tempted to say that knobby tyres are for wussies and amateurs.
Okay okay, so I merely descended a muddy slope on the side of a bridge, just because it was the best way to get back on the canal path.
Still did better than the 2 modern full sussers that tried to follow me. Those guys had to pick their bikes back up at the bottom.
