Can anyone help de-anodising a seat collar for me please?

I've found an old grey/brown Kona seat collar that is bang on for what I'm after, however it's anodised and I would like it removed and polished up.

Can anyone out there help me at all please, happy to pay a small fee if required?

Many thanks,

Lee.

If you want to take the anodising off use caustic soda (careful it's nasty stuff) or just oven cleaner as this has caustic soda in it. Then bring to a mirror shine with solvolautosol metal polish (get this from any car/motorbike shop). You can just use the metal polish to polish the anodising off, it'll just take longer.

That'll be five pounds please. ;)

anodizing

i don't think you can anodize cast alloy. i believe that it turns out bad. i think, however, you can hard anodize it. i am not 100% on this but am pretty sure.
