The Kat is now going to be a periodish build! (no snakeskin tyres) looking for old ones now.
Got some Suntour kit coming today, so will update you when I'm closer to finishing.

Not going to say that Magnum tube set is the best in the world but it's really nice looking up close and the paint finish on that frame only enhances the look of the pipes

Well I'm totally disappointed on two levels about this thread,
1. Only 203 views in and Raidan spoils the plot to get to 250 page hits without a comment.
2. Al you've sold out and gone main stream, I thought you only had eyes for the weird sh1t that falls out of the ugly tree.....

I do normal and have done for many years, my dalliance with the strange will always be there though! This was a frameset that was going begging and It really is in fantastic condition, so I thought why not. This will be the best '91 Carrera Katmandu in the country, I would think?
It will be a town bike for knocking about on, not that I'm knocking about on anything with my bolloxed back at the moment.

Cool bike mate I remember when these came out got reasonable reviews in mbuk. It's an odd one what people decide is worth collecting. I think people over look what at the time of introduction would have been considered budget.
