I'd guess it's just a plastic patch (to prevent cable rub) that's discoloured and lifting.

Odd that he's nicked the Stronglight headset locknut and hasn't bothered to replace it with something else ...

Hi have just bought the above frame, just out of interest how much did he pay for frame originally. I first saw it by chance on ebay with 20 secs to go! So did well to bid and win. His first communication said I had a bargain. So don't think he was happy with what he got!
Did someone say it had Sach Aris on?

It originally sold for £260 so I'd imagine the seller was pretty disappointed although I doubt he expected to make a profit

I hope the frame is in better condition than it looks.

If you can find a stem you have the base of a great build.

They did have Sach Aris or Success parts. I'm trying to find some for my classic and it's not easy :?
