Valuable reading, and would be a great resource for this site and its members.
I thought of you reading the Yates one - why do you think he called it the 'Vulcan'?
You have one guess......
....... hint it was one of the first UK e-Stays and a response to one of the first production US e-stays.......
Mate there is no need to Hint, i know what the Vulcan is........
And there in lies the problem, if you do have it, you need to find the time, as i said in my previous post its valuable info, and as we discussed when we talked of putting the British Steel thread together via PM, so much is NOT known by me and so many its about time it was in the public Domain.
And whilst that one article may suggest it was one of the first to respond to the progress of the Americans.
I can assure you, the first call was to Chas Roberts, the moment this happened both Yates and Lloyd got wind and also pulled out all the stops.
And the rest they say is history.
The aftermath of this was the birth of the Acronym Bikes,.........The D.O.G.S B.O.l.O.X.....The D.O.N.K.I.S N.O.B.........and The C.A.T.S W.H.I.S.K.A.S.
of which i believe you have two already.......YOU LUCKY BUGGER.....................
And FWIW.
The Vulcan is "the blacksmiths GOD of Volcanoes and Fire". (a fitting name given the model and the builder i always thought.... :? )
