Damn it! Who got it?

I thought I was on it then, right up to the last seconds :x

You should listen to your uncle Adrian more - I told you you'd need to put in near to £1250 if you wanted to win it ;)

(It wasn't me BTW)

Never mind - you now have more money to get that Dogs' up to spec :D )And you have two Zinn's already which is greedy in any case).

Same money as the grey one ended on. Will the sale complete? Will it turn up on here?

I'm sure it will, but how long you have to wait to find out is anybodies guess!

I know, I know, but I needed to put a limit on it!

As you say it'll give me some cash to finish the other builds.

It is greedy, so I thought three wouldn't really matter... :D

You speak the truth as always Carl.

Another one will turn up I'm sure and may be by that time I/we would have made some progress on the other UK icons...

Very true!

And we will mate, don't worry. I'm still planning on going to the show in Bristol in April, if you are still up for it.

Yes - that's always the dilema - all part of the roller coaster - these are the typical outcomes for me:

1. Loose the auction. Think thank f**k I didn't want that bike anyway what the hell was I thinking bidding on that.

2. Loose the auction. Damn it!! One of those will never come up again, what was I thinking leaving it to the last minute or trying to save a couple of hundred pence/pounds..... (this can often end in buying stuff I didn't really want need as I now have that £X 'spare' that I saved by missing out on that auction.

3. Win the auction. Sick feeling in the stomach, oh bugger I paid too much/didn't really want it etc etc

4. Win the auction. Grin like a cheshire cat for days until it arrives... then look like something out of faulty towers trying to smuggle the thing in to the garage past Sybil...

I think that sums it up very well Adrian.

This one would have definitely been bits of 1-3 and at least I don't have to risk no.4 this time...
