So anyway, do I peel the stickers off or not?

sorry what's that got to do with anything?

Oh, you what? You started this thread? Ah, I see, sorry!!

I would leave them on if it was my bike, and if they came off on their own after a ride or a wash etc then so be it.

When you know the mechanic who P.D.I.ed it is not only a brilliant mechanic but is also your mate.

Boys boys boys! I may be new here but it upsets me to see the people I look up to getting all steely-eyed and clench-jawed, squaring up to each other over what is or isn't worth talking about.

I mean, this forum attracted me because it was called 'retrobike'. if it had been called 'retro superbike', I might have stayed away. You think a pristine Karakorum is a so-so bike? I think it's ace! And I genuinely love the paint job! 80s paint is fantastic, and I've just bought an AlpineStars Cro-Mega to demonstrate it, as my commuter bike. I'm even keeping the LX cantis and Farmer John's Nephews! Might get rid of the cup and cone bottom bracket though - a pain in the arse.

Not having money to burn, I like the fact that I can come on here with a half-retro, half-modern monstrosity, dripping in cheap anodised bits and, though you might not necessarily like or 'approve' of it, you won't rip me to shreds for it, other than in a good-humoured way.

An, er, that's it really. I'll post some pics of my Cro-Mega once I've sorted out the BB. :)

Don't know why but that reminded me of 'Withnail and I'. I shall forever more visualise you as a naked Richard Griffiths, complete with eyeshadow astride your Cro-mega.
