Yeti Ultimate 16" medium with 3DV Cook bros & FTW s

I took the shot into photoshop, made guides from one outer rim to the other-
which is supposed to be 22", made 22 separate squares that fit into this space.
Those squares would represent exactly 1" so using those as measurements, I measured the top tube- I got 20" which would indicate a 16" frame I think-
The seller didn't get back to me about size- that is why I did this. Anyway, he
posted the pic of the size chart, but maybe it's from a different year?
Mystery to me- anyone with expertise on this?

Not possible. All Yeti Ultimate top tubes were the same length in 1991 (about 23")

the 16" was not available then. IIRC, it didn't come around until 92, and even then it still had a 22.5" 'claimed' top tube length.

Yeah- there is definitely some room for error in the way I am trying to measure using the pic, though interestingly using the same method I am
getting 16" from center of bottom bracket to center of top tube meeting
seat post tube. Is it possible that this is a 92?

Otherwise it looks like a nice project bike, I especially like the red Bullsye 32 hole hub- does anyone think the frame should be repainted?

I will never understand.

I will never understand people who can't just spend 20 minutes cleaning something they want to sell. If it was close to me I would grab it. I have been looking for a Yeti.

uh-huh. All the IV comments. .
However, as said, all toptubes are the same length, nominally. . . as 71 and 72 isn't quite paralell, the biggies are actually slightly shorter. . . I think its just fair to say "all built on the same jig".
I guess with regrds condition, a judegement has to be made. Could be a respray and a wall hanger, or respray and rider?. . very differnt things.
Do they use salt on the roads in NY, (IIRC not), so less damage potntial than a daily rider from the UK. .

Yes, salts are used on the roads, but not the trails

winters can be tough upstate, (what we nyc dwellers refer to as the part of the state north of new york city), but this isn't that far upstate. It's also far enough inland that it won't have the high humidity and salt spray from the Atlantic.
