XTR M960 crank set that has had the jones conversion and been polished and then powder coated in metalic silver. it has a middleburn 32t ring on it which has under 150 miles so is only just run in. the fronts have helicopter tape on so its spotless in condition and will stay that way.
weighing 570 grams its mega light and very strong. i ordered a titanium 36t ring from homebrew but have given up on expecting it to ever arrive but if it does it would finish this off a treat so whoever gets it will get offered the ring if it ever turns up. i spent a lot of time and quite a fair amount on this crank so after £150 posted £130 with new bottom bracket too!!!

These could be just what I'm after.. Length of CrankArm?

**FingersCrossed for 180mm**

School day - what is the jones conversion and why - and what is the treatment (coating) referred to.

Just bought some 960s they are beautiful, now my favourite groupset after 7700 Dura Ace but its close

it was jones as in the "H" bar chap who first cut the arms down on these cranks so you could run a single ring set up. i did these myself and polished them but it marked far too quickly as you can imagine so i had them powder coated which is pretty tuff. you end up with a very stiff and very light set up although it is a lot of work and a bit nerve racking if you make a mess of it. i absolutely love the shape of these cranks and thought i would never sell it but the whole home brew ring rip off has left a horrible taste so moving to a different set up.
