Xbox Red Lights of Death

It has happened. My 360 has the three red lights that seem to suggest a certain level of FUBARness. What are my options? I have found my receipt from under 3 years ago. Am I covered by the extended warranty?

according to trading standards all items sold should last a 'reasonable amount of time' there is no rule governing what this length of time is, but electrical items are normally around 6 years. a retailers gaurantee is actually pretty meaningless.

Thanks rojo. That was annoying just setting the account up to see if it is covered. Standard warranty obviously a gonner but I got it less than 3 years ago so hopefully covered.

I'm still working out which way they want me to type my address in!

took me 30 mins and my Xbox has been working flawlessly since.


There are cheaper kits on Ebay..


You also need a case opening tool ..£1 ebay and torx 8 and torx 10 screwdrivers. £2 ebay
