wtd m952 crank or just top ring (46t)

I need a xtr m952 large ring inc spider but am willing to buy a complete set of cranks at the right price,they dont need to be NOS just good teeth really

i will also want a b/b to suit single ring but unsure as to length and part number.

I have seen it written that road b/b's fit single chainrings well so feel free to enlighten me !

Hi I need the xtr one for the 952 (octalink I think)but unsure of length 116 seems to be well thought of but i was looking for some input to make a descision and purchase something.

It's going onto a 80's claude butler cape rath if that gives you any better indication ?

I think the road bb that fit the xtr octal ink pattern are 105, ultegra and dura-ace if that helps. Don't try and fit an xt or lx one to the xtr, as you will end up damaging the splines as they are a different size to the xtr.

If you are wanting to just run a single ring on them, you might want to try looking for the dh spider and ring that they did for these cranks.

If it is just the ring, you need a special spider for it as Shimano made it 112 bcd for some reason?

Ah, so it is the ring with the integrated spider then. The dh ones are separate rings and need/have a separate spider. If anyone wants one of these spiders, I may have one.
