New standard my arse. My old mono m4s have this banjo layout!

Sorry should have clarified for the X2 caliper. I asked if they had any with a straight connector and they said no. I could use the same connector that is used on the lever, just on the caliper, but they sit nicely as is. The hoses are way long though and bleeding them looks a bit of a PITA so looking to check it into my LBS and get them to shorten them...

So; what they've done is they've moved the banjo joint to the inside so your heel doesn't catch it (which I can understand - kind of). But why not still have it attach in the same plane so you can adjust the hose position better?

Oh and now the bleed nipple is exposed, which I'd put money on being an even worse idea? :?

I thought the same. They said however that they had had complaints that the banjo/connector, was being knocked by the heel on the rear and loosening and then failing...which you don't want! Guess the bleed nipple is less vulnerable as it has only the rubber cover to catch...

Re:

So here it is as it stands at the moment....rigid! Loving the ride though but still have the Reba forks on standby for when it gets faster and dryer!

Re:

Michael who makes the frame and forks has just introduced a new finish to his entire range! "Rainbow" is the working title and its apparently done using some sort of oxidising process! Dividing opinion but its growing on me! (these are his pics of the first one he has built up not my bike!)

Holy sh*t!!! I'm loving that "Rainbow" finish, it's like 90's bright ano colours for the 21st Century 8)

Mind you, the raw finish isn't too shabby either
