its a great shame too many other projects on the go and a couple of frames as well waiting in the wings , so sold this to some other lucky person who has not told me what he did to it !

What colour was it...

I want to find out more about this make.

I've just bought one off eBay in metallic grass green. It's currently with Royal Mail on it's way....

It was an impulse buy, but I could see straight away it wasn't a bog standard 531 British frame. The lugs have lovely arrow cutouts (see photo below), the sweep of the fork blades looks really modern (long continous curve), the Campag dropouts are double eyeletted, yet it seems more a racing frame than a British touring frame of that era. It's even got a mint condition chromed Campag Record headset, which doesn't seem particularly 'touring' to me.

It's got strange cable stops on the downtube. I can't quite tell from the photos, but it doesn't have downtube shifter bosses, yet the LHS of the downtube has a double cable stop that will accomodate an adjuster, so it'll be ideal for my ErgoPower shifters. I'm just hoping the other side has the same cable stops. But there's also a set of cable guides on the underneath of the downtube, all the way to the BB which isn't usual. It also has cable guide under the BB shell, and not on top, again, more like a recent racing frame.

There's just something about it that seems a bit unique. Then again, it could be rubbish - let's hope I was lucky....anyway, assuming it's OK, I'll build it up and upload some piccies...
