Wicked Fat Chance

Devout Dirtbag
I just discovered someone selling a Wicked Fat Chance with XT/XTR kit on it on our local craigslist.

I don't have the money for it and it's a bit rich: they're listing it for $750, but it got me wondering; how do you value an old bike like this? I'm guessing that it's from the early 90s but there's not that many Fat Chances around to get a good idea on value, plus they were all custom spec'd. Tricky indeed...

Unfortunately the seller does not provide much in the way of details. It's in the Chicago area if anyone is interested..

Nice color but it would be cooler with a Wicked fork. Also, don't know if it's been ridden year-round, but those Chicago winters are brutal on steel (as I'm sure you know), so rust may be a concern.

Basically, $750 seems a bit on the high side.

Agreed. The wicked fork would add value.

I've seen a mint NOS like Wicked with original everything go on ebay for $680 once.

Depending on kit they go from $300 to $500 usually. Wicked Lites and Team Comps will fetch more, with Yo's fetching even more if they have the original fork...and of course then there's the Fat Ti...they go through the roof- as in thousands with a great build.
