Whyte PRST-RD

Cor - I love that. The proflex looks like a gangly teen that hasn't yet grown into its body, but the Whyte is spectacular!

That does look like an awful lot of seatpost though.

Oh, and I loooove the bars (heads off to the internet to look at some for my cross bike!)
In addition to my long legs, I suspect that the impression of a very tall saddle isn't helped by the bikes 100mm of suspension travel and mtb geometry lifting the bottom bracket up quite a bit higher than you would normally find on a road bike? In an ideal world I would play around with different shock lengths and travels to bring the bottom bracket down and perhaps reduce the travel to 60mm-ish.

Theres one on eBay (has been for ages) with a Rohloff rear hub for £770-ish
Yes, I had seen that one. All I really wanted was the frame, so couldn't justify the extra outlay. But the later PRST-4s don't come up that often, and I needed to go for the 4 over the PRST-1 to avoid potential clearance issues between the chainstay and the chainrings. Plus the later Quad Link rear suspension design is meant to perform better and these frames seem to avoid some of the structural issues that get reported on the earlier examples.

Oh, and I didn't want the redundant canti bosses that the earlier frames often come with.
