Whyte forks

Ok. Are they any good?

They are great. Ignore the reviews on MTBR VRC (well the negative ones at least) they are the best retro-ish fork I've ridden! These are from '96/7 so comparisions made with Judy XC/SID and Manitou Mach 5's all of which I own or have ridden.

These are much better - ie, leighter, stiffer (I'm 14 1/2 stone and they don't flex much) and they have a lovely plush action and smooth rebound with a massive 63mm of travel!

They're nowhere near as good as any equivalent modern fork but if you're building a 95-98 bike and want period correct I'd thoroughly recommend them. 8)

(oh and parts and servicing are still available too)

White the same as White bros then, (I'll acknowledge that Whyte has to be different), as thats what ISON specced on my Identiti, DT 1.2's, seem pretty good, though yet to dial in properly as the adjustments are very subtle and my first pair of shocks!

Like this but more brushed metal and more retro looking. :D
