looks good, what makes it high end in Townsend world? did they use different tubes?

Few more bits bolted on, waiting on an odd size seatpost and a 1 1/8 stem from bankrupt bike parts. Also had ago at resurrecting the pink stickers. I've not done the main bit just so you can see the difference.

Mine was an 1 1/4" stem.

Given the rest were pretty heavy tubes welded in a factory in Leigh, it's nice to hear they made some nicer stuff.
They did translate to some overseas manufacturing before it all went a bit Pete tongue.

Most of the Al Carter stuff was nice. Usable bikes. Some very nice 90s paint jobs and they were specced nicely for the price.
