Which Columbus SLX frame would you buy?

I've been watching a few Merckx frames, but as your links show, they do vary a lot, depending on the colour of the paint.

I also have a slight apprehension about using such an iconic frame for what will not be a restoration, or even age related build, I do tend to like.... SRAM. :shock:

no wonder - utter sacrilege to put such shyte on a merckx!! keep it retro - some nice period dura ace or corsa record would do it justice . .

Montello, you know I'm only messing with you :)

I know ... I have never ridden any other SLX bikes so I couldn't say it was any better or worse ...

When I rode steel frames BITD I couldn't afford one ...

Now I have the Montello I like the ride but how it compares to others I have no idea. I have to say that in a blind test I doubt many could tell the difference. They all ride well I suspect.
