where do i start

Hi guys n gals, brand spanking new to the forum which is great by the way
recently acquired an old school Alpine stars MTB which as far as I can see im struggling to find any info on anywhere: on the frame its got CR200 I believe and marked up fat free CRO MOLY 100% -
Front gear cog is marked up Shimano Hyper drive C - and its got Alivio brakes........

Few questions if i may for those with the knowledge, firstly is there any info on this old bike anywhere I can lay my hands on as its in pretty shabby condition, secondly Id like to make it my everyday run around nothing too serious off road wise and so whats the best route to take without spending hundreds and hundreds :shock:

any sort of help or advice would be awesome
