wheel bearings advice

Hi all,

Just in the process of trying to put back together some Wolber 58 Super Champion wheels off an old Claude Butler Mixte. Everything was very rusty so I took it all apart and have come round to the wheels today. What I'm scratching my head over is that my ball bearing pot which I emptied the wheels into has two sizes of ball bearings. Now it's possible I've emptied bearings from something else in there, but at the same time, I'm very short of ball bearings to completely rebuild the insides - is it possible that some wheels have two sizes of ball bearings in the wheels?

Apologies if this is a daft question - I'm new to this so learning while I go along.

Cheers

David

Front balls are generally smaller than the rear but not a mixed size in each wheel if that makes sense. Generally about 18 balls each wheel if memory serves.
