What's this frame? Mid 80's ?

If it wasnt for the lack of lugs, it looks fairly generic of the era. The seatpost was standard on the Dawes Ranger of the day and the Red S parts date it to around 1984/5

As mentioned, Ridgeback with an identical fork but 'fastback' stays

I've looked at quite a few Ridgebacks. None of them have the cut off seatstays. Nor the double cable stops on the downtube / headtube.

Butquite similar otherwise.

And yes, most of the others of this era have lugs!
 
I think it's currently a SR crank, if I ever work out what it is I'll try and find out the crank that was on it originally. Thanks.

I've looked through all the Stumpjumpers on Mombat and they are all lugged too, the fork seems fairly common!

I was hoping for Diamondback or Saracen but I don't think it's either.
