What's this bike (Parkpre?)

Just seen this, what a find! Who paints a Ti frame
Raleigh for one  dyna-tech,RSP.

I meant DIY painting, I hadn't realised people de-stickered as charlieboy describes.
Didn't RSP use a different grade of Ti that didn't look as pretty naked without polishing hence the stickers?

A quick update then as I've had some replies.

I've done no further paint stripping since I posted on this thread just over a week ago, see photos below for results. You can clearly see outline of the Parkpre decal on the downtube (doesn't show on the photo) so I've no doubt that it's a Pro-Elite.

Agree with the possibility of debadging and a spray job to cover up the ti, it is (was  ) a fairly decent sprayjob too.

This frame and all its parts will be getting some serious TLC when I get some more spare time, I'll get a build thread up once I've got all the paint off.

Once you've stripped it off paint you could do what I did with my 'previously painted ti frame bargain' and take it to your local metal finisher (one in almost every industrial estate) and have them rebrush it - mine cost £10 to be done:

That finish is lovely and a bargain at £10! Worth pointing out though that the parkpre proelite didn't have that brushed finish, what you have stripped is pretty much the original finish, that said the brushed finish does look good.

I used a Scotchbrite pad to re-furb my frame. Gets rid of any oxidization and gives a lovely brushed finish.

I'll have to see how consistent the finish is once all the paint is off.

I've been watching your build thread Easy_Rider, didn't realise it was yours until I clicked on your signature. Very neat repair you've had done, hope I haven't got any surprises under the paint.

The BB welds are the most common area of failure. My old frame (which Easy Rider has) also cracked in the weld on the drive side chain stay. Saying that the frame had had a very hard life - ridden and raced by Clive Powell - Welsh MTB legend.

This should have a relatively easy life in comparison, it will an "RB ride Queen", quoting the big cheese. The only riding (apart from commuting) I have time for these days is at RB meets.

Looking forward to seeing this bike develop.

Me too, wish I had more time, I've a couple of builds on the go but I can see this one jumping the queue a little.
