A C16R is way light, a P7 is burlier.

DIfferent tube sets. C16 is lighter and more flexy, but it would also depend a lot on the model years too. Different years used different tubing.

i have a c16r frame stripped down in my shed if you want to know just how light it is, just need to find some decent scales

The positives are that they eliminate any possibility of misalignment, or of over-tightening the fm clamp and damaging your frame/paint. If there are any negatives, I don't know what they are.
