What's the correct name for those retro seat post springs?

There used to be springs that connected to the seatpost and seatpost clamp which allowed the seat to be lowered and raised back to the same height, kind of like a modern dropper post. Can anyone remember what they are called? As it's rather challenging search for something when you don't know what it's called. Cheers

I believe what you're looking for could be a Hite-Rite. (Had to google it myself but I think someone had one far sale here recently, or maybe I saw one on eBay?)
