Are there some spanner flats at the top of the legs (screwing into the stanchions???)

Also would i need to nitromorse the legs or would them blasting them be ok???

Make sure everythings ok for undoing the flats before stripping the paint

Will do Andy, is there any details anywhere for how to dismantle these forks?? do you think i will have to strip the paint??

You could try the same method im using.Found this thing called google

Unless its actually leaking around the seals then the only thing you need do is replace the fluid every 10 yrs or so

10 years??

While they are built to last I would service them a little more often than that!!

Yeah ok,then 10 yrs is a bit long

Not more than 7 yrs then
I ran mine for 8 ,didnt need anything more than a good flushing and new fluid
