What other stuff do people collect?

1960's austin A40 - been a while since I've seen it - it is in a friends garage, or at least they used to be a friend until I left a car there 6 years ago.

I need a garage for it - attached to my house - the motivation to drive 20 miles just to work on it isn't high.

The A series is a gold top recon 1098cc, good engine, I have downflow manifolds and twin SU carbs for it, might need to upgrade the brakes and sus before fitting those though.

According to my partner I collect shite, any old shite, doesn't even need to sparkle.

I do like to collect old technology - I have a 1960's mini reel2reel and radio, 3 super 8 projectors, 3 singer sewing machines, Several 60's magazines, 1980's Tamiya RC car, some odd vintage tools and far more parts for my classic car than I could ever fit to it.

I also have what must be among the largest collections of bolts and screws I have absolutely no use for.

That made me laugh as it sounded so familiar....I tell her it's practice for fixing stuff in the house!
I used to have 3 Land Rovers and sheds andspare room full of parts and also had a fetish for 750/4 Hondas and parts at the same time.

Once at a car boot whilst perusing said shite the good lady asked " why do you need that , It'll only go with all the other rubbish you've got" I replied " It's not rubbish just things I haven't found a use for yet" this had two elderley ladies rolling about........I used to be able to 'pull her ' about all her clothes/shoes an stuff now I can't even do that as I have too many of my own, now I get " it stinks fusty" or " that needs dry cleaning" along with " thats not going in my wardrobe!"

Oh I just love shite!!!any old shite doesn't matter what really if I am honest!

And I collect 50s furniture, British post war paintings, Beswick flying ducks......

An ever expanding collection of Beastie Boys vinyl, cd's and memorabilia with multiple copies of the same albums and singles from different countries. My collection has become even more valuable to me in the past couple of months. RIP MCA
