for me, its the M732 thumb shifter. it has beautiful aesthetics, splendidly simple operation, great egronomics very good performance, and an indexing click feel that just is not matched by any other shifter. to me, it sums up a lot of what vintage MTB is all about.

what's your favorite component and why?

To many to count. But the top ones are Grafton Joystix, Suntour XC Pro shifters, Bullseye crankset.

Why because lovely design and in the case of the Bullseye miles ahead of the rest.

The m737 xt pedal for me......one of the few components that started a revolution ans was dead right from day one.....along with the iconic thumbshifter of course!.... :D

L/hand Suntour thumbie for its sexually smooth click.

Tioga disk drive for its uber coolness & that 'rumble' like no other wheel.

Grafton speed controllers for me... I have always wanted some since I first saw them in MBUK.

Saw a pair (not a set) on Ebay recently for $177 or something daft like that.

Also, really liked the Flexstem so I fitted one to my last build... the reality is not quite as good as the idea I had in my mind.

Retro suspension forks, just love the relative simplicity and some of the far-out designs from the 1990's.
