What headtube diameter for a Schwinn Clunker frame?

As per title. I've found one I really like the look of but after contacting the seller he says the "overall" headtube diameter is 1" 7/16". Not a size I'm familiar with
What do you all reckon the internal headtube diameter is. It's a 1995 remake of the original if that helps.

1 7/16" is 36.5mm

Steel head tube is commonly about 1mm thick. That would correspond pretty well to a 34mm inner bore, which is right for a standard 1 1/8" steerer.

Phew. I'm glad you lot know your stuff. Cheers Guys. I kinda figured it'd be 1" or 1" 1/8" but the latter is gonna be better.

That looks like a 7/8" quill, but it could equally be 0.833"

I'd better butt out and let someone who knows what they're talking about take over!
