What cycling shoes do you have?

SIDI - they seem expensive at first, but the average pair last me about 5 years, compared to the 1 year to 18 months that I usd to get from Shimano shoes (or the 3 months from a pair of Poohbahs).

As the SIDIs appear to give 3x the service for 1.5x the upfront cost, I'd say they were something of a bargain.

I think I'm going to give SPD's a go again as I'm feeling good about my knees and their general health.

Who does shoes with a full flap over the laces? And ones that don't make me look as if I'm wearing them as a result of polio?

I used Sidi Dominators until they finally gave up the ghost this spring..........currently using Lake MX81 and Time MXS Carbon, Time DHZ Freeride for flat pedals (the Time clearance that Planet X/On-One did a few months ago had some good bargains), Lake CX101 Road shoes (which don't get that much use 'cos ye cannae walk in them )

Sidi Dominators loads of cash but last for ever and you can get spare parts for them. I had my first pair for about 8 years the treads were shot away but still managed to sell them on ebay for £39.00. New pair cost me £130 and look like they are going to last just as long. Super stiff and fit like a glove comfy from the off.

I have always had lake shoes and I think they are excellent infact I have a pair that have lasted 14 years and are going in the bin tommorrow  :(

The bin???!!! for god's sake, man, at least do something involving a bugle and a folded flag for such service!!

I have used Sidi Dominators for the past 5 years-the most comfy shoes I've ever had, the ratchet system is great and they are very rigid. As others have said, the only downside is that they are pricy, but they are worth it IMHO.
