What are your retro bike plans for 2024.

2024 Plans...
1 - Like many others, have a bit of a new year sort out and sell a couple of bikes.
2 - Race the old bikes as often as possible starting with the retro XC race at the Cannock Chase Winter Classic next month! Also, really looking forward to the Malverns retro XC race which should be amazing!
3 - Try not to break any bones this year🤣

Thank you 🙂 They're all used by me depending on purpose and weather conditions (apart from the FAMILY folders of course 🤣)

It's so much more convenient to have 2 versions of the same bike set up for lighter use and winter conditions. We just about have enough space...

2xPendleton Brooke's.
2xSpecialized Vita's
2xDahon's

@Mrs GIGFY it's a nice start, however, 7+1=8. Seven is a nice number, lucky, but perhaps a little too lucky? You could use another. But then you'd be at 8, and everyone would think that you failed in your attempt to reach ten, so maybe two more, but then it's just another couple to a dozen, and have you heard anything about a baker's dozen? Oh shucks, unlucky again at 13, 14 is one shy of 15...

This is currently waiting to have canti studs added, then the bb shell narrowed and rethreaded to allow me to use a square taper chainset. Hopefully ready for the World Single Speed Championships in Germany…. 😁

My 2024 retro bike plans

1) for this week: finishing a 1991 Look Mi80 based build as I need a bad weather bike
2) for this month: finishing a 1995 Trek 7900 (700 C bike) based build as I need a workhorse
3) we'll see what the year brings.
