What are these worth? Brian rourke & Alan vintage bikes

Hi All, I really hate these posts, but in this case I really have no idea. I have acquired a couple of vintage road bikes that I need to move on, but have no idea on what to advertise them as. Both need a bit of a bit of tlc and a tidy up, but seem in pretty good condition otherwise

One is a Brian rourke frame with some campag bits on. The modern cranks let it down though.

The other is a Alan carbon tubed bike with campag groupset.

They are both lovely great bikes.

- The BR looks in great shape with all the period top class chroming front and rear.
- The Alan early Carbon with the Campag can be sought after. Even as is.

It's hard to give a price in today's environment. This thread sadly won't get you much input.

For the BR - 200 GBP. For the Alan 500 - 800 GBP. There is no rocket science in this anymore, so a lot is testing the market on Ebay.

Give the lugs a close inspection on the Alan. Cracks are not uncommon, sadly. The Alan will be the most sought after of the two, but the market is awash with quality bikes and frames that aren't moving so putting a price on stuff is super hard.

The Deltas on the Alan are pretty desirable. Interesting crank choice on the BR.

Agree. The BR should be broken up and a sale for frame + forks + headset only. Remove the rest.

Another sale for what does appear a sought after Race Face chainset, especially with the BB if it is a Race Face.

The wheelset is "whatever" at about 50+ GBP or so opening price, but if the hubs are good quality Campag stuff taking the time to strip the wheelset down would be worth it. Nobody wants worn rims which detracts value.

EDIT: Simplex downtube retrofiction levers on the BR would also sell for an admirable amount.
