Thats a sad tale, i hope things really go well for you next year. The kids thing really must hurt like a gooden. It always happens to nice people!!

As for next year, i dont hold out much hope for people on the job front as it will be much much worse. However, life presents us with challenges and we fall so we can learn to get back up again, and get up again we do with twice the vigour and heart. Thats what carves our character and you always come across like you have plenty Rob.

I wish everyone reading this the best of luck for 2009, t will be hard but we will get through it,no doubt buying more bikes along the way!!!

I was going to post a topic very similar to this!!! I've also had a fairly shit year, not as bad as some other people's, but still a proper pain in the arse(literally at times!)

Broken Shoulder
Broken truck
Broken laptop

And a catalogue of illnesses and ailments to keep me off my bike from chalfonts to chest infections (3!!!).

Found out i have Angina (only 37yr old)

not as rare as you would think fella
i had a stroke at 29 due to a hole in the heart so had heart surgery and there was quite a few young guys in there to have stents done for angina :shock:

In a perverse sort of way thats good news for me, i think maybe ive just took it bad as i never thought it would happen to me, and found it difficult to deal with so far.

I feel for you on the baby front and i dont know your circumstances rob, And i certainly dont want to teach you to suck eggs but my wife was told she couldn't have children 11 years ago but 3 years ago it happened for us with the help of medical science so dont give up hope mate.

If you need or want a chat just holla mate as i know how it feels...
